The goal of this course is to reinforce skills necessary to accurately calculate cash flow from individual tax forms and schedules, provide an in-depth review of more complex tax issues that may affect borrowers, and to provide a brief introduction to global cash flow analysis.

Course Description

The course will run for two days, from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.

Participants will gain an understanding of more complex tax issues and how they impact cash flow, such as the realization of capital gains and losses, installment sales, like-kind exchanges, and LLC/Partnership contributions and distributions. The tax implications of pass-through entity business structures, and what drives business entity choice will be discussed along with how taxes influence cash flow, decision making, and business operations. Participants will learn how to calculate cash flow (UCA, EBITDA or FASB 95) from an entity tax return, how to reconcile book to tax income, and evaluate the global resources available to service debt.
